I can get car weight fairly easy. I saw the V-dyno has something for setting up gears, I'd imagine it has a tire size input also?

9 years ago when I went through this with the srt4, everyone wanted to see dynos. I used a superjet or super flow, basiclly what nascar uses because it can load the car so accurately, and those guys lost there damn minds over it. It actually reads lower numbers like a mustang dyno, but they were so dead set the "super stock turbo", wouldn't work, they claimed I had to find a DYNO JET brand dyno, lol.

Hense this picture. I'm sure if I made 234whp on the V-dyno, then the next step would just be "ok, now goto the dyno jet". So I'm just gonna skip the foreplay and get to a dyno jet after I get it tuned out a bit :)

Srt4 guys struggled forever to make 300whp on a stock turbo. We built a "SST" that make 354whp 407tq on the stock intercooler, lmao. They literly were in dis-belief. Then I ran 11.9 on it with a 2980lbs car and they had no choice but to believe it.

The srt4 had very little tuning options back then. It was stand alone or dodge ecu's.This cobb software is mack daddy, really should be easier to destroy 215whp with the fiesta now. My butt-dyno says there is no way its not making 11 more whp than it was on the OTS tune. I bet in parts of the rpm range, its making 30+ whp over stock, if not 40+ whp.

I need to find a stock fiesta ST owner to meet me at that dyno...

People are going to argue dyno charts no matter what-that's just part of the game. That's part of the V-Dyno benefit-at least you aren't out any money while everyone is complaining.

People just want to see something-anything-to get an idea of what power it may/may not be making. Reading 15 posts about a suspension setup and seeing two pictures of boost readings doesn't really give anyone an idea of an actual power gain. You're already data-logging, so all you have to do is open V-Dyno and import whatever log. Somewhere on here is the vehicle data that would have to be entered, but outside of that initial setup it's ridiculously easy to use.

Edit: I would like to think everyone is smart enough to understand that whatever numbers it posted currently would basically just be the start and that we all know that with a tune the numbers will improve. That's part of the fun of watching the modification process occur imho. They may or may not be the greatest numbers now, but they will improve the more the setup gets dialed-in.

Yes, but people want to see power. Your logs don't have the correct parameters collected to input in V-Dyno.

I will play around with the V-Dyno once I get another 500 miles or so on the car finish the tuning.

There is a Dynojet 20 miles from me I will get the car on and then post the numbers....sometime next week, depending on the weather.

Right now I am focused on driving as much as I can to add up the break in miles but we have 3 days of storms to deal with and Monday is my Octane day at MMP so not going to be as ready for that as planned nor have as much fun doing the school in the rain.

This will all be done as soon as possible so you can see the real numbers, at my altitude and on 91 octane, on a car with most all the mods one can do on a stock turbo and supporting parts.

-------------------------

As soon as the car is tuned I will watch the weather and sign up for a track day and then report back on that as well.

I tried to post some 26psi logs last night. So weird. My 10month old laptop hates everything and won't even sent gmail, now it refuses to up load datalogs to datazap. My old laptop running windows XP suddenly refused to show the part on datazap that says "upload new log". The simplest task and they can't get it done.... Its like having an unreliable Toyota corrolla, that can't get you from point A to point B, it just doesn't make sense...

I'm technologically incompetent.

Either way, all V-Dyno needs is time, rpm, and throttle position to create a graph. If you add throttle position to what your current log list is then any of us that use it can download from whatever logs you get into Datazap and create the chart for you. It's tested and used in many communities and usually found to be pretty close to an actual dyno if the user is on a very flat road.

Not something you absolutely have to do, but it would help people that don't look at datalog information enough to understand what they're seeing.

Drove in the rain behind old people going 8mph below the insanely low speed limit for like the 18th day in a row. I rarely hate Florida, but july 15th to about Oct 7th its pretty crappy here weather wise.

I've called Rally Armor a few times for an ETA and they give me the same old answer of "They are in production"

I love my Perrin one. It's about the same size as the base from the regular antenna which is perfect to me. I would like to see the super shorty in person but I think it would be too short for my liking.

I bought an ebay one, but I live about 35 miles out from where I work, and only listen to HD radio (Jazz), so I had to pull it off and put the longer one back. The short one works in town, though. I may sell if there is any interest. $5.00 + shipping.
