Learning the limit of the car, and learning the track. First time since 2009 I was on a track (Shannonville). It was uneventful, only ended up getting 40 mins on the track before they had to shut it down. Someone pissed two laps of oil on a wet track. Luckily I was in the pits when the oil was laid down.

And no video either, as I turned on the camera, driving down pit lane to get back on the track, the red flag came out. Crap.

Still very shame on you for not sending out the invite. how much did it cost. i heard that cala. is pricy

$130 for 2 hours on the track. Experienced drivers only. Point-by passing, on/off as much as you like, no run groups.

Installed my FSWERKS exhaust yesterday, and put together a how-to in my build thread.

Cleaned up my fingerprints on the back bumper and made some video/audio clips comparing the OEM to the FSWERKS exhaust. Will post tomorrow (Forgot my firewire card at work for my laptop).

Well today I installed my 2J CBE!! Without the resonator. And damn did fall in love with my car all over again!!! Also installed my ZXE low beam bulbs.

Redid the cut and weld alignment on the rear axle, my pro level digital castor camber gauge was out of whack when I did it the first time. Now I have the -1.5 rear camber dialed in but the rear toe is not quite exact so have to do the job one more time, another few hours of setup and carefully measuring, securing in place, which is hard to do as welding moves things around a bit and it only takes a tiny amount at a knuckle flange to make a big change in the alignment, put it all back together and do the alignment check again....I will have around 30 hours of rather hard work into this but in the end I will have a very very well sorted out setup that will pay off very well.

I am glad I love this stuff and this car so much, mostly it is fun

Just got back from the dealer.
Fourth service, 15K miles, full synthetic.
Mainly needed the tire rotation.
However most important was the free car wash.

I just got my foglight fixed and got serviced as well. I went with semi-synthetic this time. My first service I went with full but I had a coupon for the "works" package and it's semi-synthetic, which is what the manual says anyway.

Rotated my tires

I rotated my tires today at 8k. Here's a couple of pictures of a front and rear tire from the same side. You can see the difference very easily. I know these are summer only tires so I'm assuming they're a fairly soft compound. This is pretty normal driving, no burnouts or any track time. Is this how everyone's tires are wearing?

I actually drove it more than 2 blocks from my house, which is all I had done in the past 6 months and only 1.5 miles or so in the past few days!

I now have 296 miles on it, yeah!

I took it to the dealer to make an appointment to get the ABS system bled as could not find a way to do it and I barely have brakes though I have BBKs on both ends, one of the caps was knocked off the brake lines when doing the BBK upgrade, overnight quite a bit of fluid loss.

I have dealt with ABS bleeding before but this is the first time I could not find a way to DIY it.

The dealer liked the car, no hood, no bumper cover, could see many mods......

I rotate at every 3k due to the extremely fast wear on these tires. Even at that sort of an interval the was already a 1/32 difference.

I'll bet that was a pretty noticeable change. And yes, the rmm will calm down for the most part. A lot of what you're feeling is coming from the Stage 3 OTS tune.

thanks...I'm really glad to hear that...and yes a very noticeable improvement in performance...

And I'm very eager to have Cobb's CAI installed and have the whole system fine tuned...hopefully soon....

No doubt, I'm waiting on it as well.

Yes, the rmm will break-in and once you get a pro-tune it will smooth out even more. Obviously you'll notice the tune faster, but I've both are done it should be significantly better. I'm having Justin at FreekTune tune my car, and I reverted to the Stage 3 after installing my parts to give him some time to create a new ma. Stage 3 was significantly rougher than the FreekTune by comparison.

The only real roughness I'm currently experiencing is during idle with the AC on which I'm sure is due to new RMM installed...Acceleration feels much more consistent, smoother, and linear...but that said I'm sure having everything fine tuned afterwards (as compared to an OTS tune) will be noticeably improved further....
