Suspension woes

2014 Fiesta ST Stock suspension, when going over jarring bumps, potholes I hear a bang in the front like something is hitting the shock tower, happens on both sides of the car. Dealer can't find anything wrong says everything is tight and they have replaced my end links. I was thinking about just buying some used struts and swapping them in to see if that makes a difference. Is there anything I should look for? Thanks for the help!

The bang you hear is definitely a metallic, metal on metal sound? Do you notice any odd handling characteristics, such as the car wanders a lot on the highway, or a vibration, or a chattering sensation when going over bumps (blown shock).

I do hear a rattle on occasion, however over things such as speed bumps the rebound feels normal as long as it is a slow compression od the suspension it is fine. It is also amplified if I am accelerating and I hit something like a manhole cover ut bangs quite loudly

I had a similar issue a while back on my driver-side front. It ended up being the top nut on the strut. It had backed off all the way to the top of the threads and was causing metallic banging sound over certain bumps.

I will check this thank you!

Any oil seepage at the strut rod? Could be a blown damper or a deteriorated/damaged bumpstop.

Im experiencing this with my new Koni str.t and eibach springs. On slow damper its quiet, goin over cracks, manhole or wavy pavement where the suspension compresses and decompresses quickly i hear clunking noises like something is loose. I just had this installed last week and its driving me nuts.
