I Changed out my MBRP muffler with a MagnaPack and a Vibrant Resonator at the end with a new tip. so its not MBRP much at all except for the Stainless Piping. but heres a video of mine with my DHM EFR kit.

any MBRP owners with a rattle from the exhaust? It's like the exhaust is tapping against the exhaust tunnel on the bottom of the car?

The noise for me is not consistent, it only happens when the weather is hot out or I just finished driving aggressively for a couple of minutes.

I brought it to a mechanic to put it on a lift, he is saying cause my Cobb DP is slightly shorter then my Stock DP which is causing the MBRP to run really close to the exhaust tunnel. I looked at it under the lift and it doesn't seem like it's too close.

If I were to compare it to something, it's like tapping your finger against a table but obviously louder.

Any feedback would be great cause I don't want to change exhausts cause I love the way my exhaust sounds.
Mine did this when I first installed it. Get back under it, and loosen all your exhaust clamps, let the exhaust settle, and put it in the right position starting. From the muffler then move your way back. This should put it all in the right spot and give you more clearance.

Have a question for my fellow MBRP owners.
So there is a black bracket mid way under the car and the exhaust goes right on top and is CM away from touching it. Did any of you guys leave it on or take it off? Reason is because i think its actually making contact with that and making noise. But will lift it up at work tomorrow to make sure.

Thank you! I'm working on getting a good full scale video so you can hear it at all positions, and hear it with the camera in different positions as well.
That's sounds so mean . It reminds me of wrx a little bit . Has a slight rumble to it .

Had the same issue, especially on my .10 mile long gravel driveway... I made sure the mid-pipe was rotated up enough and the clamp was tight - over a couple weeks it worked itself back down again to it's "sweet spot." I ended up taking the body brace off and putting a 4 mm thick washer over the bolts and putting the brace back on. Been about a month and silence. I figure if engineers thought it important enough to spend the money on that brace, it is probably there for reason. Good luck.

Thanks! in person it is even deeper. it's not technically an MBRP but all I did was change the muffler. I honestly think the reason it is so deep is due to the DHM manifold. But my buddy that has an equal length header WRX and my exhaust sound almost identical.

I love my MBRP kit. I had a wicked drone for a while till I investigated what was going on, turns out when under load the engine would torque a bit and cause the exhaust tips to touch on the bumper cover and vibrate through the cabin. Once I made the adjustments needed its be sweet songs of love ever since. [driving]

I think I have the same problem. I have just been too lazy to fix it haha. What exactly did you adjust?

Stock DP, I made sure the middle part was well clear of the trunk brace, then I tried to move the DP with my hands to emulate the engine being under load and torquing down. I still get drone from like 3k-4k, but I think thats just normal for the exhaust.

Side note I put some sheets in my trunk as a ghetto sound deadining, and it worked shockingly well. I think I'm going to get some actual sound deadining and replace it in the spring. But for now throw and old sheet or two over the spare tire and it will make life much better with this exhaust

where the last hanger is near the tips I pushed the exhaust over and put a small worm gear clamp to stop the tips from sliding over and making contact with the bumper cover.

This is exactly the sound I am looking for. Do you have a guide or an underneath shot of what you did? Really loving that sound

No underneath shots currently, but as for the guide, its really simple. remove the muffler section on the MBRP and get the muffler you want and have it fabricated into the original MBRP mufflers place. As for the rear, I cut the entire rear straight section off got my resonator and tip I wanted and had them welded in as well. I love the way it sounds. I think I will be buying a bigger muffler though as I would like to have a little less loud. haha, I never thought I would say that but I am. probably just going with a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator or vibrant muffler

Sweet man, I love the subtle rumble it has to it. Really sounds good! Any possibility of you making another vid? Thanks for the reply also!
