Cooper Zeon RS3A tires. I didn't like the Bridgestone Potenza RE050 tires. They were loud, rode hard, & made a loud humming noise in the rear. After doing some extensive research I went with the Coopers. Every review was positive plus Consumer Reports rated them high. The tires ride smooth & smooth out bumps plus they are quiet & handle very well. It feels like a different car plus Pep Boys had buy 3 get one free us a mail in rebate for a $70.00 Visa Card.

I ordered them online at PepBoys.com I chose my local Pep Boys store, had them shipped there & setup the appointment online. I was in & out in a little over an hour. The Cooper Zeon RS3A look, ride, & handle great. I got 4 tires, installation, & road hazard for $451.00 plus there is a $70.00 Visa Card rebate by mail. I stuck with the factory size of 205/40/17. I never liked the Potenza summer tires. I always thought they rode too hard, felt every bump really hard, plus they were not good in snow & rain. I drive 100 miles a day roundtrip to work and back & I am amazed how much better they ride. From the reviews I read they are supposed to be goog dry, rain, snow, & grip. I will take pictures & post.

Great buy!

Cooper has some good tires in their lineup, might not have the ultimate grip of the stock tires which is a fair tradeoff if your needs dictate other aspects as more important and for the price if you are happy then a superb deal for you.

--------------------

I have Chinese made, Cooper owned factory, tires on my 43' toyhauler, best trailer tires I have ever had or heard of. Far better than the close to $500 each Goodyears many think at the best, quite a step above them actually. When I am going down the highway with my wonderful wife, Akita, Wolfhound, built FiST, 62 ft long, $$$$$ rig, I am so glad I have the best tires I can get. I have a newer Michelin on the truck as they are the best for it and the A/S 3 for cold weather, etc for the FiST but the cooper owned trailer tires are the only ones I will use and they were $225 each which is low for the best 12 ply tire made.

Tire brands are something you have to really look into carefully, some lower cost tires are better than more expensive brands, as in the trailer tires, Cooper is the best I know of. Then there was the Michelin tires that were brand new on our V8 4Runner, I got rid of them asap, sloppy handling was the reason and went to Falcon 285/20 sport truck tires that are dang fine for everything all year and handle amazingly well in the canyons, paved, dirt, snow, whatever.

--------------------

Pick tires by needs first then buy the best ones that fit your budget or you get the best deal on, as long as really good tires, they are the single most important part on your vehicle.

Sadly not in my car. I loaned out my GoPro and didn't get it back yet.

I just had some awesome lift-throttle oversteer around a traffic circle though.

Tightened my intercooler and charge pipe hose clamps. A few took quite a few turns to snug up.....

How are you liking the RMM? Just got mine in the mail.
I've only put about 5 miles on since install and it was just normal driving. A bit of vibration at idle, but not too crazy.

Edit: Took it out for a longer drive and realized the idle vibe is only with AC on. With AC off you don't notice it whatsoever.

Ran into one FiST owner at a San Diego car show on MCRD today. Also, was at the right intersection at the right time and met up with another FiST owner. Such a great day!

Use the search, the headlights have been done, pictures and info posted:)

------------------

I have barely touched my major project ST in a couple of weeks while sorting out a huge allergy issue, been really bad here for many people and some that never had them before. Finally found a way to make thing more tolerable so had to catch up on the yard, now back to some FiST fun!

During this time I did order coilovers, changed to a different IC, worked out a custom BBK setup, received more parts, made more decisions, etc.....just not much physical work accomplished.

Just found that elastic strap in the glovebox! Pretty cool as it holds your owner's pack at the top. Also found each of the front seats has a section where the top and bottom part of the seat meets that catches everything that falls out of your pockets. Be careful though, as I was running my hand in one side before I realized you can pull the fabric from underneath and behind the seat and empty them, I almost found a rusty razor the hard way! Must have been dropped in by the selling dealer. I also found 62 cents.
