I spent all day deciding on the firsts mods for the car - the Cobb RMM and the Mountune Short Shift kit. Also went out and played in a local parking lot with tyre pressures for an upcoming slalom... Got a lot of strange looks

Car goes in at 9am for the brake noise...and will take service guy out for a drive to see where that frickin noise in the rear is coming from...I have given up on thinking it's the fuel pump...I'm hoping it has something to do with the brakes
Edit: It might still be the fuel pump lol...wtf humming drone...sigh

I hit a gut-wrenching 669 psi. Don't worry, I had a friend take the picture while I drove. Safety first.

Put on the DMB Graphics badges I got in the mail yesterday. Black back with red script and the ST badges for my wheels. Will take pictures when the car has had a decent wash down.

Went Full Synth with same old Ford FL 910S filter and took out the passenger side radiator flaps for better (in my mind) cooling at low speeds (they pop out real easy from the passenger side of the flappy thing it acts as a clip then you slide them out.
Here you can see the flaps veiw from under the car looking up to the right about 5 of them..

Oh and as long as it was up I took the front brake shields off for the summer to enhance cooling and share the brake dust with the underside of the car .. LOL
This can be done by taking the rotors off and removing the 3 8mm bolts that hold it on then install the rotor and calipers put the wheel on and torque all nuts and bolts to spec ...

Did not do the rears as that means taking the hubs off and I was not in a postion to do that and not sure the rears need be removed as the major work is done up front...

You might want to watch your coolant temps if you'll be driving in slow traffic now that you've taken those flaps off the radiator fan housing. Those are meant to open as needed when driving at speed, but closed when going slow or stopped so that the air being pulled by the fan is pulled from the entire area and not just in front of the radiator. With those flaps off, the vacuum normally created between the housing and radiator will no longer be there and will simply circulate warm air back in through where the flaps used to be.

Yes I will watch them and up here we really don't get much bumper to bumper its all pretty good flow of traffic when I am out anyways (that said now watch next time I go for a drive I get stuck in a jam lol) I will report anything I see but today coolant temp was 3 deg cooler at hiway speed but ambient is cooler and dryer too so who knows time will tell Thanks for the Tip

Had my custom exhaust installed today system components used from an aftermarket scion xb 2.5" setup.
Cutout the stock resonator and muffler saving over 10#s. Added the new hi flow louvered core resonator and straight through muffler ending in a resonated oval burnt tip 6x3".
First impressions are it sounds really good, think slightly louder then stock and much deeper/growly sounding.
Engine seems to rev a little quicker and I can hear my stock bypass valve now!
My disclaimer I know it didn't ad much if any hp/tq it saved me a few #s looks unique and imo sounds very smooth&deep.
Total cost including can of black hi temp spray paint $257

Picked up a set of all weather mats for the car and my wife is working on a back red piece for my dead pedal. Really like the mats, wish the dealer would have put them in there standard.

Added another sticker [cheerleader]

And taking her for a little drive to go look at an all original 1987 Toyota Corolla gt-s liftback. Fingers crossed it's in nice shape, if so I'm definitely taking it home!

Went and picked up some Krylon Adhesive Remover, that stuff is awesome BTW. Pried the Fiesta logo off the back of the car with a plastic puddy spreader, shot the adhesive remover and now waiting for the wax to dry where the logo was located. Now I'm rolling a Ford ST. Sorry Fiesta logo but I am a minimalist at heart.
