the problem butter nuts is that the forum gets clogged with bullshit posts making it difficult to do a search looking for a post that is actually useful. If a OP has a specific question maybe he should contact the manufacturer.
So let me get this straight "butter nuts". We shouldnt ask advice, seek our peers opinions and call the manufacturer if we have tech questions. So why the need for a forum in the first place? might as well shut her down guys. Sounds like someones been swallowing too many frankfurters over there in Germany.

As I said, the pretend moderator bug is going around. Report them, ignore them, and carry on.

The only fitment issue I had with my injen is trying to turn it to make it fit. It'll go and once it does you say to yourself "ok gotta remember that for next time" but you never do lol.

It's a good intake, it's one piece which is what makes it a pain in the ass

And I went with a 7" mishimoto filter. Got my intake used but came with a crush filter (original owner was in an accident)

Hahaha!!!! So true. OP ask all the questions you want. I'm no expert nor do I even pretend to be one, when others ask questions, I like to read and digest others responses, then make my decision on things. When people act in a harsh manner, it keeps others from asking questions. This is the Internet, aka, the wild west. You can post and say what you want but let's try to be helpful when someone asks a question. I'm by no means the PC police, fuck that, I hate that shit, let's just help each other out.

I went kept the stock tubing, bought a MAF adapter from J1 Automotive, silicone hose, and a Cobb cone filter, and I put into the stock air box. Did it help power, maybe not but I got what I wanted, that beautiful turbo sound. Now I'm just working on making my own cover for the air box out of sheet metal to keep the intake Temps down. I hope this helps.

lol, I just ordered my Cobb since last posting! All intakes are on sale at edgeautosport (I'm in no way affiliated with the vendor), just add 'weeklydeal' to the coupon code box at checkout for the discount.

Free shipping as well!

If you care more about sound, get the Injen. If you care more about intake temps, get the Cobb. If you're on a budget get a drop in filter.

I wasn't going to bother with an intake, until I read that the stock intake is pulling in hot air from behind the radiator. I'll probably end up with a Cobb, as well as cutting out that hole that Modbargains.com recommends in their blog.

There's a relatively recent vendor who has 3d printed snorkels for the fost guys, he is looking for a fist to work on fitment with in South Florida, might be better than the mod bargains hole.

I saw that post. Unfortunately I'm 2000 miles north of him, so I won't be much help.

The Injen intake is probably the most frequently posted intake in the BST. I would get it there that way you're not out much money when you get sick of dealing with the heat soak and want to sell it.
