How does your reverse lockout work with that knob you are using?

Everyone be sure to post what kind of knob you are using. The pictures are great though!

I modified the lockout mechanism by shortening it and hiding it under the boot.

Went with a bent extension to make it more comfortable.

This is a KartBoy knob from my old Subaru that I had collecting dust, but then I remembered how hot it got in the summer, so I made something new.

This is before it was completely finished, it is poly'd now and a bit more weathered. I can get installed pictures in the future.

Probably, but wouldn't it rub off?

The pen kit from the factory has the MO pen and then a clear coat pen. Maybe if I cleared it after the MO dried? I love the knob. I just want a little color in my life. Mines on order.

Nice! That might just work if you clear over it. Just give it plenty of time to dry before applying clear and then allow clear to dry before using. Might look really nice. I really like the brushed look in my interior. I thought the red numbers on the shifter made it look a bit cheap in comparison. The Mustang knob looks OEM and is a noticeable upgrade when it comes to shifter feel. You're going to like it!

I'll be installing mine with my new Boomba Short shift kit as well as a redline MO stitched shift boot so it will be a huge switch to this knob haha. I'll see once I install it all if I still wanna add the orange to the numbering or not. Thanks again for the idea!

First mod I did! Well, after a debadge, of course.

Mishimoto MMSK-BK Black Weighted Shift Knob

It has a very solid heft to it, and I find it adequately corrects the reach issues I had with the stock knob. The spring is slightly exposed underneath the knob, but I haven't had any issues with it, and like the way it looks currently. It's not really black as they show it on the product page, much more reflective and more gun metal. I would say that it does get quite hot in the summer's here in NC, but cools down after being used for a short bit. I'd imagine it also gets quite cold if you live in a very cold place.
