Muffler delete questions

I think I'm going to do a muffler delete this weekend or next just because spending money on a catback seems stupid to me. I have a few questions though:
1) it's like 50-60 bucks wit the same tips but I'm probably going to weld the muffler back in on lease return or buyout and idk if its worth it to get new tips the guy said it would be like 130-140.
2) Should i take out resonator or will that just sound too rice and drone? I've listened to all the vids on it but for someone that has one or the another...
3)will the dealer charge me if they can see weld marks on tips and muffler on lease return or when i sell the car?

Also I've considered just a res delete but sounds kinda weird to me so idk maybe in person its better?

Thinking about getting a custom exhaust done from flange back in 3" but might get too loud and be too exp for what it is.

I personally cut my resonator and muffler off. It is LOUD and it does drone quite a bit. I get compliments however about my car being the only "good sounding 4-banger around." But i also like loud cars and droning doesnt bother me.

I do a lot of freeway driving so I feel like droning might bother me more than others

I have just had a resonator and muffler delete - straight 2.5" pipe from the downpipe. I agree, it is loud! But only under heavy load. There is a bit more drone as to be expected from an unsilenced system, but I have found that sitting at 65mph is a sweet spot and the loudness is no more than stock.

I would say that just a muffler delete with a single exit is more than enough however if you're after a nice crackly sound

How much difference is there between muffler and res delete vs just muffler or res separately?

So of the three options which seems to be the best: res delete, muffler delete, or both

I'm going res delete as the stock muffler has a good note, the resonator just keeps the crackling and popping sounds from getting out.
It won't be much louder than stock- it should add some noise- but it's mostly to allow the rumbling affects come theough

Resonator delete is like a louder stock exhaust. Muffler delete is where you get a real sound change, particularly with a single exit - more aggressive and more pops/crackles. Full delete is the extreme short of having a decat downpipe too - very aggressive, very loud, many pops crackles and bangs... But you might not want to live with that on a daily basis

In that video is just a resonator delete. I do plan on picking up a catless down pipe this week and I'm assuming it'll be around the same noise as a cobb

I would love to see the internals of the stock muffler in hopes that the OE unit could be made to breath easier. Ie pressure flaps or something.

I deleted my muffler and just had dual tips welded on. I left the stock resonator on. Sounds great and doesn't drone on the highway, just gets loud when i get on it.

I did the muffler delete thing and it really drones loudly between 77-81mph.. other than that it's good..

Some say Res delete creates drone while others say it doesn't. What's your take?
