Amplified induction noise is typically derived from using cone filters and a proper box seal, so it's important to pay attention to how the filter shroud/box shields the engine bay heat. The colder the air, the better! These are the steps to take to really getting a great sound out of your intake. And you're certainly right, in boosted applications it makes a big difference because those turbo sounds need to be way more pronounced. So that was definitely a major priority for this project.
Also we actually made a bit of power with this intake! Check out our graph below.
We had fairly consistent gains of 6hp and 10ft-lbs of torque. Keep in mind that this wasn't just one of our best dyno runs. We made pulls until the car produced three consistent plots, which were then averaged. This data will be repeatable since we didn't compare a low run from the stock intake to a high run from our intake.
