Here you go, i fitted it a week ago, wasn't impressed that there was no info about the new bracket and had to contact Mishimoto for further information, i also had to replace the bolts where the bracket bolts to as there wasn't enough thread to make it secure, the new bolts are 2 M8 x 30mm

Wow yeah thanks for that pic. I wouldnt have figured it out otherwise.

They definetly should update the video or include a small instruction print out.

Great product otherwise though.

Hi there,

You most definitely have the correct bracket. As users stated earlier, this is the Version 2 bracket. We encountered a few failures of the version 1 bracket (you can see all of these details earlier in this thread) so we created the Version 2 bracket to correct these. The install video was shot last week and is in the process of being updated on the website. Rather than delay the release of the Version 2 bracket to all of you, we decided to send it out before the install video was complete. If you need any additional assistance with installing the bracket before the video is released please let me know!

Grandby was kind enough to bring our attention to a slight difference between our US Fiesta ST and the EU Fiesta STs. After being alerted to the difference in thread length on the EU Fiesta ST mounting location we began working on a solution to include longer bolts for EU kits.

Thanks again for the images and the info!

Is it possible to get one of these at the pre-sale price or has that ship sailed?
Unfortunately, the pre-sale has ended. However, I would suggest contacting a Mishimoto authorized vendor as they can offer you more competitive pricing. If you are unsure of who carries our products, you can visit our website to use our where to buy feature to find the one closest to you HERE. If you need any additional assistance please let me know!

I'm probably going to bite the bullet on this. As someone who has purchased his first new car, I want to ensure I do everything I can as far as preventative measures to ensure no severe oil buildup is caught in the intake. Oil buildup kills engines.

Can anyone attest to how much oil gets trapped between oil changes and if it affects how the vehicle runs at all?

I also just noticed that the headlight has to be removed for installation? Is that completely necessary? Do you have to remove the front bumper to remove the headlight?

You don't have to remove the front bumper to remove headlight. It's pretty easy just just remove two torks screws and small plastic screw/clip near front bumper, disconnect wiring harness, grab bottom of headlight and lift From top portion of headlight first, will have to use two hands and takes a bit of force. You will hear a pop sound when it comes out, don't be alarmed that's just the head light releasing from the white plastic clip holding it in place.

I installed it this weekend without removing the headlight. With the right tools and skinny hands, it's possible.

I installed the Mishimoto OCC last week, and while the install went smoothly, I noticed something and wanted to ask y'all if it's normal. I seem to have a "crankcase smell" coming from the vicinity of the catch can. It's not overpowering, but it's definitely noticeable when you first open the hood. There's no leaks that I can see. The hoses are tight and have a good latch, the catch can itself is screwed on pretty tight, and the plastic fittings are tight enough that I'm afraid to go any tighter for fear of stripping them. They have roughly 3 threads showing and are thread-taped. Is this smell a normal thing, and if not, any suggestions as to where it may be coming from?

That was our thinking as well, and a great product for preventative maintenance would be a catch can.

During our testing we noticed about an ounce of accumulation in 1000 miles, however this number can go up or down based on the temperature or what kind of driving you are doing. Based on this, we recommend that you check the contents of the catch can every 1000 miles until your own baseline is established.

Just ordered one of these from MAPerformance. Will it included the gen 2 bracket?
It should come with the Version 2 bracket. If for some reason it doesn't, call or email with your receipt from them and we will get a version 2 sent out to you ASAP.

While it is possible to install the bracket without removing the headlight, if you are struggling at all removing the headlight will make the install much easier.

On our Fiesta ST, if you open the hood after driving while the engine is still warm you can smell what you are describing. As long as everything is tight and it doesn't appear to be leaking, this is normal. I would keep an eye on it and notify us if the smell gets any worse or you notice a leak and we will work with you to figure it out.
