Sara, I missed it... Are you automatically sending revised brackets to those of us that bought V1.1?
I certainly hope so, their products offer lifetime warranty. Mine is the one that broke, so I expect one for sure. [driving]
Yes, although we do not anticipate additional failures everyone who purchased the catch can kit with the original design will receive a revised bracket. This way it is your choice which bracket you would like to use on your Fiesta. We appreciate your patience as we go through the process of getting these new brackets into production and shipped out to you.
Thank you!

This sounds great! Will this include those of us who bought from vendors?

Since I ordered my catch can from mod bargains today. Does this mean I will need to request a new bracket as well ? Thanks again for your amazing customer service and great products for our platform.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Please bear with us as we don't normally have to send out revised products, so this is a special instance. The brackets are still being created, so we are not quite ready to send out replacements yet. The process may be a bit more difficult for those who purchased through distribution, nonetheless I will make sure that everyone who purchased a Mishimoto kit receives a bracket. I will keep you in the loop to let you all know when they are ready to go out and the process that we decide on to get them to you.

Thank you again for your patience!

OCC Oil Caught 6 15 through 12 15 2800 miles.jpg

I purchased a "universal" Mishimoto OCC this past June and modified a system that appears to be working well. My FiST has a little over 2800 miles since new in April, and here's a picture of how much oil and gas has been caught in my OCC.

PS: I did this before a OCC system was offered for our car, and I am only posting to show how much oil and gas can get in to your intake w/out one.

Nice DIY! Glad you are effectively trapping that blow-by!

Thanks for the tip! There are several ways to empty this catch can, including the one that you described, so that users can choose which is best for them and their Fiesta!

Hi There! I hope that you are referring to the updated catch can bracket, as we are not planning to send any additional catch cans out. We are working on the best way to ensure that everyone who needs an updated bracket receives one. There should be a post on this with more details shortly!

Thanks for your patience!

Emptied the OOC at 1k miles and this is what it caught. I was reading on another forum that murkiness is normal, especially in cold weather. It took me about 10 minutes to empty by simply unscrewing it and lifting it out. Once detached it is a little difficult lift out, but once you figured out the path, I should be able to empty by hand with no drain or detaching anything in about 5 minutes.
I haven't been following the bracket issue. Is it cause for concern?

Whew! Bad looking fluid. I would let it stand a day and see what shows up. Maybe its water vapor being captured with oil, be nice to know its not something else.

Yea the other forum said it was water vapor from the crank case and it happens in cold weather. The car has 1.5k and I really have been pretty easy on her through break in. I may change the oil and see how it looks just to set my mind at ease and let the waste settle as you suggested.
