So has anyone had this problem? I was driving down topanga cyn.. Doing around 40-50 I accidentally shifted into the wrong gear, and my engine light came on and my car started acting up like it started shaking at high rpms and the turbo sounded Weird.. The whole car was spouling and driving wierd I drove for a few miles and still the problem continued.... So after a few miles I decide to turn it off... The car was off and I turned it back on and it seemed to back to normal

Like when I drove it the car had trouble picking up speed... And shaked a lot, I turned it off and it was back to normal once I turned it back on.. Even the engine light went off

On my initial test drive, I accidentally put it in 6th instead of reverse and stalled it. (6th is where reverse was on my '14 Fiesta SE) It would only move in idle, as in nothing whatsoever happened when you pressed the accelerator. The service guys reset the computer with some button combination, and everything was right back to normal afterwards. I'll bet that your car is fine. The computer is pretty amazing at self-preservation.

Pull the neg and do a KAM reset. The Focus does the same thing. Your car will be fine. Just leave the battery disconnected for at least 10 mins

I did the same thing once hitting 2nd instead of 4th. The car went into limp mode. I reset the code with my APV3 and went on my way lol. You should be fine

Wow, that seems like an odd place to have that. There isn't much going on in that area, I wonder how they choose where to set up.

They had one in Simi Valley about two weeks ago. Kinda scary

I think they picked it because it's off the normal busy path. Which is what a modified car might take. Also they couldn't really do it on Balboa etc to many cars.

Must be sampling, not much they can do to a pre-smog car...
