New Big Brake (Rotor) Kit Option

Unlikely and would require a bolt pattern change or a lot of leg work to find a rotor with the exact dimensions. There are some BBK options out there already, but the issue is retaining the integral parking brake.

If someone could CNC these brackets for $150-200 a set it'd be worth it just to do this. I think $900 for a rear BBK without a parking brake is outrageous. And stock SVT calipers aren't as good as ours right?

See the difference ?

The fiesta ST bracket bolts are slightly longer, so I used the SVT ones because.... I had them.

Ummmm wow.

SVT brackets bolt right on.

New pads locked and loaded.

Like Pete said... unless your super OCD, not going to loose sleep over the slightly different reds.

For realiz's ?

All done. Can you see the SVT rotor from behind the stock one? Lol.

It drives like it did before... like I need new front tires lol
Ok, you teased us with wondering on here what these brackets were worth, did not even PM me when I wanted to buy them, now have them on your car and looking beautiful.

If you don't show at Sebring sometime this year I am calling "big talk, little do". And get some tires.

Did you have to end up using the SVT brake pads for the brackets or do the st pads still work?

You can use OEM pads :)

I got some stoptech pads. Before that, I used $22 lifetime pads from advanced auto parts lol

I used up a set of those lifetime advanced auto parts pads in less than one day at Sebring. They were the only pads I could find on short notice when OEM pads were backordered a couple years ago. Then I tried Hawk street race pads, not enough better to bother with. OEM do wear on track, but they work.

Lol, that's when I put mine on too, lol. They were cheap and available when my rear pads were SUPER BAD. One of the days I was at the dragon, the road was wet. So I left the traction control on 100%. My rear brakes were not happy lol.

More than likely right in front of my face, but I can't seem to find the kit anywhere on their sight?

same question I asked
Sorry, the thread has kinda deviated to the budget rear BBK using SVT parts. I think that's why no one really knew what you guys were talking about.

I got this from Mark Lapp at Gold Coast on Wednesday:
"If you have the Fiesta ST front knuckles and rotors, soon we will be selling a big brake kit for the ST. It uses 320mm rotors. Maybe that would work best for you.

If you go with the 320mm rotor (ST upgrade), you should also get bigger rear rotors. 280mm would be best."

From my research our ABS supposedly has electronic front rear bias balance, so in theory you should be able to add larger brakes either end of car and the other end should balance when at the ABS threshold.

First, I have no idea if this is really true. Second, I have no idea whether if true, it stays true when ESC is fully off.

Seems like it would be good to know just how much ABS will adapt to different brake kits, especially for track rats. Anyone know?

Does anyone know if the factory style sliding calipers are going to be used in this kit/setup, or will they offer a 4 piston fixed caliper deal which will work with the thickness of those rotors? [dunno]
