There was never a Ford vehicle with a VENTED rear rotor and matching caliper setup which we could adapt to our cars, correct? [dunno]

When I bought my SVT brackets, they were already obsolete in the US.
However they were still available new in the UK.
I have searched everywhere and found them to be obsolete now everywhere.

Here are photos of the bracket/carrier and the box they came in.
This should be all the numbers you need.

GOOD LUCK

I did a brief search in here and didn't see it. Do the SVT fronts also fit out car? Or just the rears? I know I'd have to get the brackets for them, so I'd either find a part out or just buy the calipers. I thought about the 05 ST, but those brakes are actually smaller than ours.

We had a senior tech retire today, so the shop was a bit of a shitshow this afternoon. Didn't get the chance to run the numbers in parts, I'll do it tomorrow -Saturdays are a little more low-key for the most part anyway.

As far as I know, the primary reason we're all hunting for the rear stuff is that no one has a viable rear big brake kit yet. There are a lot of options for the front so far, but nothing reasonable for a DD rear set-up.

I know there are a lot of front BBKs, but they're all pretty pricey. I was thinking a straight SVT setup would be cheaper overall, and probably cheaper to maintain.

I'm not sure by any means, but I don't think the SVT has bigger front brakes..

So, less than an inch. Apart from a little more thermal mass, you'll get more by changing to a more aggressive pad than the effort of fitting SVT parts, IMO...

Also, just checked with parts, the caliper brackets are no longer available from Ford in Canada either. You'd have to go aftermarket and pay for a whole caliper to get the bracket at this point, or find some ones at the wrecker's.

Your not wrong. I actually thought about that after I posted it last night. I've personally never faded my fiesta ST brakes without the motor getting warmer than the brakes lol.

Then again... assuming they work.... its larger calipers (maybe) and larger rotors for less than $100 at a bone yard.

But your right. Maybe not TOTALLY worth it. Heavier rotors = more driveline loss. Not like the SVT rotors have alum hats or anything..

My thinking is I could do a full SVT conversion for less than the 1k plus you usually see for a BBK. If there are cheaper BBKs out there, I'd love to know about them.

Yes, but you STILL are stuck with inferior floating calipers for all of that coin and effort. [:(]
Are you referring to the stock calipers or the SVT calipers? Would you be able to use our stock calipers with the larger breaks? That seemed to be what the earlier posts were suggesting. You'd still get and advantage from the greater moment arm.

The rears will still use the stock caliper, just the larger SVT bracket to space the caliper out far enough to use the larger rotor. All other dimensions are close enough to work.

The fronts, were you to "upgrade" to SVT parts, would only be 1" larger, and still have an inferior sliding caliper design, as opposed to most BBK that have a fixed caliper, multi-piston design. We're saying that the gains to be had by trying to fit those parts would be minimal over a stock set up with aggressive pads. You would also be adding rotating and unsprung mass over a BBK with aluminum hats. The rears don't do enough work to really suffer from any of the drawbacks with a sliding caliper.
