Thanks to Dave and Kuan the idea lives. It would be outstanding if a lighter option was available, that was the one downside to using larger iron rotors.

Two piece lighter rotors are always available but at a higher cost.
For some people it is more important to save a few dollars than a few pounds.

Redrilled 4x100 hats should do the trick and loads more options for correct offset I'm sure. Increasing a smaller hub bore is common practice as well.

D1JL suggested Wilwood, so I spoke with their tech folks today. They will sell hats and rotors separately but its up to buyer to determine which specific hats and rotors to order, and on buyer to get them to work with stock calipers. Fair enough. Each pair F and R will cost about $500.

Since my interest is tracking, for me it probably makes more sense to go with full WW kits, Spec 37 rotors, BP 40 pads, thermal pistons. Then switch back to street pads for DD.

But not until the stock brakes will not perform adequately, they are still adequate with OEM pads for me on BFG SC, so I will put this off at least until tire upgrade this spring, then maybe until Cyborg. When stock brakes become limiting factor, then they go.

I have already done the work to fit 11.75" GT rotors, 6 piston caliper in the front and 11" GT rotors and 4 piston calipers in the rear and will help anybody or a company that wants to pursue this though it takes a bit of effort, mostly on the rear.

Drilling a hat is no big deal, nor is drilling a rotor, machine tools not needed unless the center bore is done.

Thought I'd update this thread with my rear rotors. They weight around the same as the stock rotors and are good quality. The slots are a perfect match to my Alcon rotors on the front.

Overall I'm very happy with these and I'm surprised at the sight difference I can feel in the pedal. To be honest I wasn't expecting to feel a difference since it's just a bigger rotor with the stock caliper.

KuanR, those are just stunning. Any chance your supplier would make a run of them for a group of us?

Rotors look great.

The rear rotors were around $500. I was told they are pretty light for the size, I have to see when they arrive. The company that made it supplies rotors to companies like AP for their kits not made in the UK
can you send me the contact information for this company. I would like to order a set.

I have decided to resurrect this thread rather than start a new one.
This way everyone can see how the discussions went.

Now to bring you up to date and why I was involved in the first place.

The front brake set in the first post of this thread is my design.
That is to say this type of setup has been around for many years just not available for the FiST.
I have used this type of setup many times before and wanted it for my FiST.
I worked with Lapp Racing to make this kit for my car so I did all the research and testing.
The brakes work great, there were just many personal matters that slowed this project down.

Now we are back on track and there 4 machine shops bidding on making parts.
The selection should be made tonight and production will begin.
One sample set will be produced and tested just to confirm that all the CNC data entries were made correctly.

The initial run will be for 20 kits with a projected cost of $450.00 per kit using a standard smooth rotor.
Other rotor options will be a little more.

For the full-on racer, this may not be the kit for you, however for the daily driver that wants better brakes at a reasonable price, it is great.
I have been using this setup now for almost a year, I have been on track and many canyon runs and they are fantastic.

Anyone interested in purchasing a set can contact me by PM.
Names will be placed on a list of "first come served" to be contacted when the kits available.

Just to be clear, this is for rear rotors and caliper bracket? Sounds like a decent price for some lightweight rotors. I'd be in for this since I've been considering ordering the rear big brake kit that sico developments sells. With the Fiesta ST200 coming with larger rear brakes I'm guessing a lot will just do the swap using OEM parts, but it'll likely be the same cost and you won't have the lightweight advantage.

This kit will include the brackets, hubcentric spacers, hardware, and smooth rotors for front brakes only at $450.00. (target price)
Rotor options will be: Slotted, Drilled, as well as Drilled & Slotted at additional charge.

The rotors are re-drilled off the shelf rotors so they will be readily available and sold separately for replacements..
We are also working on offering a set of SS hoses to provide one stop shopping.

The rear brake brackets are being perfected now but should be available soon this way we don't have to use out of country parts and keep shipping costs down.

For those of us who want two piece rotors front and rear, will there be a standard aluminum hat and rotor (from you or anyone else) that would fit with your brackets and hardware?

Post up the specs on the stock rotors, offset, internal diameter of the hub area, rotor thickness and new diameter rotor you want to run and I will look for the easiest bolt on solution and let you know if there is a solution available of what it might take to make one.

On my rear DIY 4 piston BBK setup I had to have the rotor hats machined to the right offset, it was not that expensive and a one time cost which could happen in this situation.

THIS is not undercutting what DiJL1 is doing, just wanting to help those wanting a bit less weight find a way to do it, you will still need the parts he is working on and I would not profit from it except in knowing I helped a few members out:)

I'm definitely in line for this. The car stock has great brakes but I worry about overloading them due to the torque vectoring etc. I've been trying to get rear SVT focus brackets for awhile. I'm really happy there's going to be a decent brake option that's not 2000 dollars.

As an aside, do we really know if the st200 will have bigger brakes or are these simply bigger than a stock fiesta?

I cannot find any detailed description of the data RAAM suggests we gather. Front rotors stock 278 mm and 23 mm thick. Rears 253 mm and 9 mm thick.

I cannot find offset dimensions, I believe the front hat width is 5" ID, offset at least 1". Rears are solid discs and probably not worth trying to get lighter two piece rotors, but I am always willing to pay to loose weight.

Wilwood has a truckload of hats, probably have to special order our offset and bolt pattern. Looks like Wilwood 2 piece fronts would cost about $300/wheel at their web page retail prices.
