Breedt motor mount

Has anyone here used the Breedt motor mount? I can't seem to find much consensus on it. However, I like the design of the body having the interchangeable bushing for different durometers. And it appears to be the softest bushing out of all the "racing" inspired mounts. I also like that you don't have to modify the stock bracket to make it fit like the Mountune and others.

I have the Cobb RMM, and like the Mountune, no bracket modification is necessary. In fact, I don't think any of the RMM kits require modification (I could be wrong). I only tell you this so its not a factor in your decision. This Breedt one looks good, if you think you will end up changing the bushings. If not, I love the change the Cobb mount made and I have read those who went Mountune or any other brand are satisfied with those.

The Mountune requires modification of the bracket.

I think this came out back when everyone was afraid of false-knock so the majority of owners only went with Cobb or Mountune; I don't recall seeing too many others with something other than those two.

Sorry no modification required other than taking a piece from the original bracket. Original install videos showed to drill it out but now, and how I did it, is a good whack with a deadblow mallet or hammer the brace comes off fine.

Yeah, when i took stock mount off, the bracket was just stuck to it. Just like you, knocked it off carefully with a hammer. It's a great upgrade.

The Mountune requires modification of the bracket....
Having just installed my Mountune RMM recently, I can say with absolute certainty it doesn't require any modification to anything, unless using a pry bar to remove the very light press of the factory RMM from the bracket is considered "modification".

Just pulled the trigger on the Breedt mount. I emailed them and they are giving me a 15% off deal for the unanodized one shown below. Hoping to have it installed by Saturday/Sunday! Will post pics and impressions soon.

Cool, let us know how it goes with with the Breedt mount in terms of install and NVH afterwards.

Mountune's instructions are flat-out wrong. The person that engineered the part was obviously different than the person that wrote the instructions.

Did Breedt give you thread locker for those allen head bolts that run through the mount? If not I'd pick some up if I was you....that mount is in a place that vibrates alot. Just food for thought and if you do use BLUE....... NOT RED.

I always likes this mount idea, I didn't know they ever actually started selling them.
They also built an intake manifold,
But
I don't think they ever went into production with it

Initial impressions: solid noise at startup. Vibrations most apparent between 1000 to 1300 RPM, idle is almost dead quiet with no noticeable increase in vibration. Engine noise is louder, obviously, due to the mount almost being solid metal and having less insulation. Almost sounds like I added an exhaust. I like the noise but I'm glad I did a symposer delete otherwise I suspect it could potentially be annoying.

Driving it I definitely notice a change. Shifts are solid and smooth. If you left off the gas pedal and get back into it I don't notice the engine movement like before. When you get on it you actually have to fight the steering wheel so I can definitely tell the power is going to the wheels now.

Overall I am very happy with it and I know the vibrations will calm down within a couple hundred miles. Solid product that I think will work great on my daily driver.

I've been running the Breedt RMM for about a year now and am very happy with it. The vibrations at first were a bit more than I was hoping for, but within 500-1000 miles of driving it settled in and is unnoticeable without the AC on. With AC on there is minor vibrations when you come to a stop and idling, but I very rarely use the AC so its not an issue with me. Regardless of the brand I don't think you can have an upgraded RMM and not notice any increase in vibration. I liked the idea that you could change out the insert to make it stiffer, but I went with the softer of the 2 provided and don't see any need to go harder unless it was just a track car.

The only issue I ever experienced was some creaking in reverse, but I cured that by simply getting under the car, loosening all the bolts and re torquing them. When I installed it i used a jack to slightly move the engine up so the holes aligned so I may have put some unnecessary preload on it. It's been fine since the re torque so I'm happy with it.

Breedt makes an intake manifold for the FoST but not the FiST.
Maybe that was a company called "Abembo" or something like that, lol. I saw a euro fist with one installed on a car, but it was on a euro-car forum (that was dead as disco ).
