You will need to wait until Eibach publishes all the info.

As I said,
This is only a tease.

All I can say at this time it that on the drive home in traffic.
The ride was great.

So far, I have only had the experience of normal commute driving and it feels better than it ever has.
Yes you can still feel the road, it is just not as harsh as before.
Again remember this is at normal commute (low, no more than 80mph) speeds.

I was also able to ride along on the final test drives before the car was given back to me and I was very impressed.
I hope to do some further testing myself this weekend.

Those look pretty much to be a mirror of the Ford Racing Suspension they used to offer for the Fiesta, also by Eibach. Look the same visually. Makes sense since they already had them developed.

I would imagine the dampening and spring rates are lower though, as the Ford Racing set where 450lb/500lb

It was a fitment issue, the springs are too close to the body when on top.

Yes, they are the same setup as the Ford Racing Suspension.
However the springs and dampener valve settings are much different and there were some other refinements made.


Are these street friendly or strictly race?
Yes, they are very street friendly.
This is why my car was there for a week tweaking the settings.
The spring rates that were used should be great for both street and track but of course the springs can easily be changed for more aggressive track use.

That rear shock doesn't look like an inverted damper to me. Do you mean to say it's just upside down?


Also, I'm curious to what the long term effect with using a rear coilover, since the spring forces and now transferred to the body where it was originally designed to ONLY house the shock.

Yea I thought the same thing at first. "That ain't an inverted damper".

I think he meant it's just upside down. It has to be so that the spring can clear the chassis.

Moving the spring further out also changes effective spring rate.

I am no English major but I think if you look it up, you will find that inverted means upside down.
So if you look at the front photo you will see that the shock body is at the bottom and the piston rod comes in at the top.
The rear photo shows the opposite that is to say that it is inverted or upside down.


I was also curious about using the shock perch and asked the same question.
This design was requested by Ford for their Ford Racing Suspension so Eibach used the same mount point.

I am sorry if it was not 100% clear.
But the inverted invocation was associated with the rear photo.
It is the rear damper that is inverted, not the front (as I thought people could see).
The statement was also to imply the rear was a true coil over and not a separate spring and damper.

Does that help.

Your rear strut is just upside down to accommodate the spring. It is not an inverted dampener.

A true inverted dampener in suspension land is what no-pistons posted.

My front bilstein being an example of of an inverted strut dampener:

It is a good thing that I don't live in suspension land.
Also in my dictionary inverted can mean upside down.

My fronts are not inverted.
The rears are inverted (see dictionary meaning above).


That's my story and I am sticking to it. [hah]
